Serious Men is a film that includes comedy and drama as well. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar, Sanjay Narvekar, Shweta Basu Prasad are the well-known faces of this movie. This movie did release on Netflix on 2 October 2020.

This film is being directed by Sudhir Mishra. This film is based on the Book by the same name. The book was written by Manu Joseph and the book was published in 2010. The length of this film is around 114 minutes. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is being seen as the lead character in the film. 

What is the Plot of the Serious Men movie?

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen as Ayyan Mani and Indira Tiwari is seen as Oja Mani who is Ayyan’s Wife. Aakshath Das is seen as Adi Mani who is son of them. Nassar is being seen as a scientist named Dr. Arvind Acharya. Sanjay Narvekar and Shweta Basu Prasad are seen as politicians who are trying to collect their votes through Dalits. Ayyan Mani is a Dalit personal assistant to a Brahmin Scientist. He is being called by names like “Moron”, “Imbecile” by his boss. He used to just hear those words and ignore them but we can see that he gets angry by hearing them. So he thinks that I will make sure my kid didn’t have to suffer from these all problems. So he decides to do it by conning the world.

Ayyan begins that journey by convincing everybody that his 10-year-old son Adi is a genius. Ayyan used to work as a personal assistant of a scientist remember so he used to hear and learn many things related to science and Ayyan simply tell his son Adi those things to remember. Ayyan also told his son that this is the secret between us only. Adi used to say these things in school and to other people also and you will also think that kid is some kind of genius to know that many things. But he didn’t know a single logic behind those things. And whenever someone asks him some questions like what is the meaning of that and Adi didn’t know the answer then he dismisses them by saying that “I can’t deal with the primitive minds like you”. I won’t reveal how it ends but I can say that after a point Ayyan decides to do not continue the great con for the sake of his son’s future. But to way out of his frustration it is going to be a tightrope to walk for sure.

How is the Performance of the Serious Men film? And How is the Performance of the Cast of Serious Men?

Overall, the Movie is Average. It is worth watching for sure. The performance of the cast is good. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the lead for sure and able to impress the audience once again. There are also some good Dialogues like “Public Jisko Samajhti Nahi Hain, Usko Salaam Thokti Hain, Respect Karti Hain” and many more.
